Introducing the “Longer Lasting” Air Vent Bellows Assembly to fit the Models: M7, M9, M11 & Newer 7’s – Exclusively from RPI!

Many of our customers have inquired as to the availability of a “longer lasting” air vent bellows assembly to fit the Midmark M7, M9 and M11 sterilizers.

Let’s start at the beginning. There are two different styles of assemblies – the diaphragm style and the bellows style. Currently the RPI RCB089 and Midmark’s are both diaphragm style assemblies. Simply put, to make this style of assembly, two pieces of metal are stamped out of a large sheet of material and the ends are welded together. This style has only one convolution doing all the work (by expanding and contracting) and seems to wear out rather quickly.

The other style is a bellows assembly. Imagine welding several diaphragm assemblies together, and instead of only one convolution doing all the work, we have several convolutions doing the work of one. Since several convolutions (not just one) are working, the bellows-style will last much longer than the diaphragm style. This bellows style air vent system also costs more to manufacture than the diaphragm, but now you have a choice from RPI.

It’s the RPI advantage! You can choose the RPI diaphragm style (RCB089) or you might want to step up to the “Rolls Royce” bellows style (RCB100) assembly and pay a little more for a longer lasting assembly. The choice is yours!
