We have been informed by our vendor that our Fill-Vent Valve (RPI Part #RCV052) that fits the Midmark Ritter 7 and M7, as well as the Ritter 1200 and 1250, will no longer be manufactured. But dont worry we have an even better replacement! After a little brainstorming here at RPI, it was agreed that since 9 times out of 10 the o-rings are the only parts that really wear, a valve stem with o-rings would be all thats required to fix a leaky valve. So we developed two new kits - one valve stem and o-rings to fit the RPI valve and another valve stem and o-rings to fit the OEM valve. Both kits are now available.
As it is not uncommon in this industry for the OEMs to protect their parts interests via proprietary agreements with the original parts maunfacturer, so is the case with the original Fill-Vent Valve. As such theres a difference between the OEMs Fill-Vent Valve and the RPI Valve. The difference is simple - the OEM Valve uses two different-sized o-rings and RPIs Valve uses two of the same-sized o-rings. So, since there is a difference, you will need to determine which Fill-Vent Valve you have in order to know which of the Valve Stem Kits you need. The easiest way to determine which Fill-Vent Valve you have is to measure the threaded end. The OEM sold by Midmark accommodates a 10-32 thread. The RPI valve accommodates a 1/4-28 thread. Ask for the RCS097 to fit the RPI Fill-Vent Valve, and the RCS098 to fit the OEM Fill-Vent Valve. (See the front of this flyer for details.) |
